Maturation at the Heart of Every Expression
In Charente, time is an essential part of our craftsmanship. Following double distillation in traditional Charentais copper stills, our Single Malts continue to develop through their interaction with wood, in casks carefully selected for the distinctive characteristics they impart to each whisky..
American oak, ex-Bourbon, Rye whiskey or Cognac casks: each maturation choice helps shape a distinctive character, from the roundness and finesse of the 40% expression to the aromatic richness of the Small Batch 46%, culminating in the greater intensity of the Single Cask 52.5%.
The Charente climate plays its part in this maturation process. and promotes slow, balanced ageing.
